Return Address Stamp Generator
Lay out your name and address on three straight lines, pick an ink colour, and export a transparent PNG or true SVG. Free, in your browser.
PNG, JPG or SVG, up to 5MB. Tinted to match the ink color below and replaces the center text — 100% on-device, never uploaded.
Free exports add a small credit line and cap at 1000px.
Batch export — generate multiple stamps at oncePRO
One name per line (uses the top-text field; everything else — shape, ink, logo — stays as set above). Up to 40 rows, downloaded as a single zip of PNGs.
Want a physical stamp?
StampMakerTool only makes digital designs — we don't sell or ship physical stamps, and we're not partnered with anyone who does.
Download the highest-resolution file you have access to (SVG is best if the shop asks for vector art) and take it to a local rubber-stamp, engraving, or notary-supply shop — most accept a PNG or SVG upload directly and can quote you on the spot.
A return address stamp is not a seal you press once and frame; it is the thing you reach for every time you mail a card, a bill payment, or a package label, so it has to read at a glance and it has to be right. This return address stamp generator uses the straight rectangular layout instead of curved text, since three flat lines match how an address already sits on an envelope more closely than text curved around a ring. Type a name on the top line, the street on the next line, and the city, state and ZIP on the line below, and the preview updates as you go.
How this return address stamp generator lays out your address
Curved text works for a company name wrapped around a logo, but an address is a list, not a slogan, so it wants left-to-right lines the way it already sits on an envelope. The rectangle gives you a name line and two address lines. The middle line (built for short center marks on other stamp types here) is left blank on this layout instead, since it has the least room of the four fields; the name and address instead go on the wider top, sub, and bottom lines, which hold a full line of text more comfortably. If what you actually want is a circular seal with a name arced around a monogram instead, the round stamp maker is built for that layout.
What to put on each line
A common way to fill it in: the top line for a name (a person, a couple, or a household name), the next line for the street address, and the line below that for city, state and ZIP. A unit or apartment number can go at the end of the street line if it fits; very long street names may need to shrink to a smaller size to stay on one line, so check the preview before exporting. If you are stamping return labels for a small business rather than personal mail, swap the top line for a company name instead. Ink black is a common choice for return addresses; oxblood red or forest green work if you want the stamp to double as a personal mark on cards.
Download and print
Export a transparent PNG at 1000×1000 pixels to drop straight onto a digital envelope template or a print-at-home label sheet, or a true SVG vector if you plan to send the design to a stamp maker to have it cut into an actual self-inking stamp (check with them first on the file format and artwork they need). Free exports carry a small stampmakertool.com credit line in the corner; the whole design renders in your browser, and the address text itself is never sent anywhere to generate the preview.
FAQ
Is the return address stamp generator free?
Yes. Designing the layout and exporting a transparent PNG or SVG is free, with no signup required. Free exports include a small stampmakertool.com credit line.
How many lines can a return address stamp fit?
Four fields are available, but this layout uses three (top, sub, and bottom) for the name, street, and city/state/ZIP, since those three fit a full line of text more comfortably than the fourth, narrower field.
Can I use this design to order a real self-inking stamp?
You can export the SVG vector version and share it with a stamp maker or print shop, but check with them first on what file format and artwork specs they need before ordering.
